Why This Reference Exists
Honolulu does not follow the usual county-sheriff jail model. Hawaiʻi’s Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation operates OCCC and the state prisons, including WCCC’s hybrid jail and prison role. HPD handles short police holds, the Hawaiʻi Paroling Authority handles parole, the Judiciary handles probation and court records, and federal agencies maintain their own custody systems.
This site brings together official release-record routes, HI SAVIN searches, court lookup guidance, supervision information, facility details, and records-request steps. It does not replace any of those sources. Its purpose is to help a reader choose the source that matches the custody episode.
Information Organized Here
The material is arranged around the questions that arise after a person leaves a live custody view.
- The home page provides the full released-person search and record-request path, with separate guidance for a projected release date, VINELink check, and parole and probation.
- Eight facility pages identify the correct operator, address, contact, and release route for DCR, HPD, BOP, ICE, and USMS custody.
- Recent-release pages explain why Honolulu has no official rolling county release feed and identify the documented fallbacks.
- Records guidance covers focused UIPA requests for maintained release fields or booking photographs, subject to lawful limits.
Limits of This Private Site
Honolulu County Released Inmates is privately operated. It has no affiliation with Hawaiʻi DCR, HPD, HPA, the Judiciary, BOP, ICE, USMS, or any other government office. We cannot confirm a person’s present custody or release and cannot provide legal advice.
- We cannot release, detain, or transfer a person.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for a visitor.
- We cannot interpret a case as a lawyer or provide legal representation.
- We cannot promise that every public phone number, fee, address, or schedule remains current.
Only the agency that maintains a custody or release record can provide its official current response; this site supplies reference guidance, not confirmation.
Third-Party Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools supplied by outside providers. Those providers control their own results, data practices, and prices. If a visitor follows a tool and purchases a subscription or service, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the reference pages available without changing what a provider charges, and it does not give us control over the provider’s records or response.
